Appartenuto
nel tempo alla famiglia senese Piccolomini, il castello conserva tutto
il fascino dell’antico maniero del XI s. Attraversando la campagna
che segna il confine tra le crete senesi e la Maremma, si arriva al
bel viale alberato, accesso principale al castello. Di recente restauro,
gli appartamenti sono stati ricavati in una abitazione difronte alle
ex-cantine. Suggestiva cappella di famiglia e grande parco a disposizione

Das Schloß
“Castello di Grotti” war lange im Besitz der bekannten sienesischen
Adelsfamilie Piccolomini und hat seinen Zauber aus dem 11. Jh. bis
heute bewahrt. Die Zufahrt zum Schloß erfolgt über eine suggestive
Allee, im umliegenden Land verläuft die Grenze zwischen der Sienesischen
Kreide und der Maremma. Die erst vor kurzem restaurierten Gästeappartements
befinden sich in einem hübschen Natursteinhaus gegenüber des ehemaligen
Weinkellers. Suggestive Familienkapelle und großer, den Gästen zur
Verfügung stehender Park. Siena 15 km. .

Once belonging
to the Piccolomini family of Siena, the castle still retains the same
charm of the XI century manor-house. As you cross the countryside
that marks the boundaries between the “crete senesi” and
Maremma, you will finally reach a tree-lined road, the main access
to the castle . Recently restored, the apartments were obtained from
a house in front of the cellars. The family chapel is very interesting
and there is a great park guests can enjoy. Siena is only 15 kms away.

ayant appartenu autrefois à la famille siennoise des Piccolomini,
conserve tout le charme de l’ancien manoir du XIème siècle. En
traversant la campagne qui marque la frontière entre les crêtes siennoises
et la Maremme, vous arriverez à un chemin bordé de cyprès, accès principal
au château. Les appartements ont été récemment restaurés dans une
habitation en face de l’ex-cave à vins. Chapelle de famille et
